Family members told Canadian CBC News that two men burst into Henry’s Sunset Playa, a business owned by Wayne — who also goes by the name Henry.

The men, armed with guns, opened fire.

Wayne, originally from Virden, Man., confronted them and was shot first, said Wayne’s brother, Garry Beltz.

“My brother approached them saying they can’t be in here like that and they shot him right off the bat. Then they targeted my nephew and shot him four or five times and then took off,” Garry said.

Wayne was rushed to a hospital but Rob, who is originally from Brandon, Man., died at the scene.

Garry said when he first called Honduras, he was told Wayne was being operated on. When he called an hour later, the news was worse.

“We heard all these ladies screaming and hollering and [a friend] said, ‘Oh my God, he’s gone. He died.'”

Garry Beltz said he has no idea why the men were shot.
