A small plane made an emergency landing on a street in the Honduran capital and collided with a truck on Saturday. Four people were injured, police said.
The plane suffered mechanical problems shortly after takeoff and tried to return to the Tegucigalpa airport, according to police spokesman Sergio Murillo. Instead it touched down on a nearby street and one of its wings hit a passing pickup.
«It was all quite unexpected,» Murillo said.
The aircraft flipped over and came to rest belly-up. The pilot and three Honduran passengers were hospitalized, but truck’s driver was not injured.
