I am proud of the Honduran people for standing strong for democracy. Many US citizens support and pray for you! I am very disappointed in the US government. They obviously do not care about democracy unless it is in their best interest. Sometimes you have to just do the right thing even if it makes a bunch of communist oil tycoons trying to take over Central America mad. God bless you Honduras! Wake up United States!

Why doesn’t Micheletti check all the treaties and agreements with the US. It seems to me that some say something to the point of joint security and protecting countries that join with it. Somewhere around 1962 is one.
Could be a way of getting the $16.5 million back and getting some help from the US.

I wish that we had access to all of the information. From what I have heard here in Roatan, Mel was bad news – congress and the courts did what was necessary to protect the people. How can a power such as the United States be so ill-informed? Are they really? Is there another agenda? Surely the US Government is not supporting dictatorships. Perhaps that is what is next for Americans. I pray that this issue gets resolved for the sake of my friends in Honduras. From what I have seen, the country is full of beautiful, peaceful, wonderful people who deserve so much more than a president that steals their money and wants to rule outside of their constitution. GET WITH IT U.S. AND BUTT-OUT FOR A CHANGE! HAVEN’T YOU LEARNED ANYTHING?

I believe that what you are confirming is Not true, not because I support the president Zelaya. I t is because it have been 5 o six days after his arrest and extraditation from Hoduras to Costa Rica, againt His will. hondurean people don´t believe anything that tey are saying anymore for all the things that they have done. Tey have denied our right of free speach and that goes againt the constitution that they are defending. THE BEST OPTION IS HONDURAS RIGT NOW IS FOR PRESIDENT ZELAYA TO COME BACK GIVING HIM THE PRESIDENCY AND THEM JUDGING AND CONVICTING IF HE IS FIND GUILTY AND PUT HIM TO HAIL. BUT REMEMBER EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DEFEND THEMSELV. THEY HAVEN´T GIVING HIM THE RIGHT. Please if we want the best for Honduras let not take sides.

Apparently the framers of your Constitution could forsee such a return to dictatorship and tightly worded it so as to circumvent such a move as Zelaya was making.

I do admire the guts that the people from Honduras have. I wish my country had the same level of guts to put Chavez back in prison where he belongs and should have never left. Only time will tell the world how wrong they were for acussing a country without listening to them first, only because it’s a small country they thought they would bend over by pressure… they were wrong!!! way to go Honduras…!!!!

It is being reported that Zelaya is under investigation for being involved in drug trafficking through Latin America. We can clearly see how corrupt this man was and the direction he was taking his country in.

Hope this is all true about the financial irregularities — if it is you have my admiration for throwing the bum out… from appearances it has been done by the rule of law ratehr thean the rule of man. Today we are all Hondurans against foreign intervention of Hugo Chvez and his totalitarian castro-communist friends in Latin America.

Why doesn`t the OAS give 72 hours to Raul Castro to have free elections after 50 years of tyranny?

Chavez has taken charge of the OAS and is using his bully influence to expand his version of castro-comunism in the hemisphere.

I hope The USA will act accordingly.

Leave Honduras alone, Chavez!!!
