European Union Will Not Recognize Elections

October 22nd, 2009 · 8 Comments

A European Union official said on Thursday that the 27- nation bloc would not recognize Honduras’ Nov. 29 election results if there was no agreement between the current government and the ousted president.

Petros Mavromichalis, EU representative for Central America, said “under the current circumstances it will be difficult to recognize the results of the elections, unless the situation (in Honduras) changes.”

The EU representative added that both sides must have some political will to find a satisfactory solution to the political crisis in their country, which has left Honduras in a difficult, vulnerable, socially violent and uncertain situation.

The representative said the restriction on citizens’ rights in Honduras is the other factor to hamper the transparency of the coming elections, to which the European Union would not send observers to support.

“The current situation in Honduras is not the right one for holding free and democratic elections, that is why we (EU) have annulled participation through a delegation of electoral observers,” said Mavromichalis.

It is time for Europe to realize its (growing) irrelevance. This simply marginalizes them further. They are secular. They are failing to reproduce. Their immigrants are muslim, so eventually they will be populated with islamists. What do people in the Americas care what they think?

As for ‘ the restriction on citizens’ rights in Honduras ‘, every little town and county has rules to apply for a permit for demonstrations and parades. Also, they normally exercise discretion if they think the group is bent on disruption, advocating violence or vandalism, to deny them those permits. Why shouldn’t Honduras have the right to do the same?

Why? Hondurans are fighting with NORCO TRAFIC and the interference of Chavez that wants another CLOWN to advance this doctrine of destruction, they are paying this people to disrupt the peace, burn buses, tires, etc…this peope are receiving money to do this thinks why give them civil rights to distroy private property. Why not accept election to vote for new president when USA push other countries to do it…why accept the election from IRAN that the whole world know where fraudulents…and give this president the visa to visit USA…Honduras is defending his CONSTITUTION LAWS.

I am starting to get really fed up with all this crap about a “Political Crisis” in Honduras.

    1) In Honduras there is no crisis.

The fact that a few people that support Zelaya do not like the consequences he faces for breaking Constitutional Law does not make it a crisis, it makes for a group of unhappy people, like kids whose toys were taken away.

    2) Honduras is in an “Economical Crisis” because people with out a soul decided that taken away from the poor is a way to punish the rich, is a well known pressure tool for political punishment and gain, but in this case, simply there is no reason to punish Honduras.

    3) The “Crisis” that Honduras is going thru is one created by the same people that talk about the conditions they want to imposse on Honduras simply because Honduras chose not to allow a Leftist Dictator wannabe into power.

    4) The main reason for all of those people to be mad and angry with Honduras is “EGO”, they simply can not accept that Honduras chose to have its laws respected, even more so when that allowed it to dismiss a Communist turncoat and country seller.

    5) So, we did not create, nor did we perpetuate a crisis, we were given one.

All we have to say is this, if the UNO, OAS, EU and the USA want to fix this, simply stop demanding that we ignore the laws of Honduras, Zelaya is not above it, and we will not give in.
