The most important part of the Congress decision is as Al puts it, the power that it will yield to decide political matters in the future.

It is time that Honduran politicians start taking responsability for their acts.

Being originally from Tela, I remember very clearly the way people working with the government in Tegus would come and spend crazy money while they were there on vacation, the worst part of it being the kind of treatment they gave the people they saw as lower than them, without even stopping to think that many people knew the money they were throwing around came from the taxes that got sent to the capital from smaller cities, and also from the aid and loans that came from the exterior but were never seen by the populace.

So becareful when corrupt mindsa have to make important decisions, they may very well fall back into their bad ways and screw the country if enough money is to be had.

One of the things that the Honduran Congress will be voting for indirectly is a pendulum change in Latin America. Honduras has been an almost mortal blow to Chavez, Fidel and its satellites. Do you remember how all this started; with all these communists hugging each other about reinstating the "DEMOKRATIC" order in Honduras? Look where they are standing now. Micheletti and his advisors have changed the totalitarian orientation that Latin America has taken lately. It seems like fredom and democracy will predominate eventually again. Congress, take responsibility for your decisions. God bless Honduras and Her people!
Mel, learn Portuguese!
