The mayor and candidate for reelection, proclaimed his triumph shortly after the official closing of the polls.
The candidate, said that “we will continue to make the changes that the people deserve after so long, this means a great joy that the National Party has won in Honduras.”
Alvarez asked the Liberals, Christian Democrats and Independents to join together for Honduras with these election results.
“We can do it together, to change our country, I thank my wife and all my activists for the results at the polls,” said the current mayor of the capital.
