Former commissioner Aristides Mejia, remains a fugitive from justice.
Judge Mario Rios, and prosecutor, Karla Garcia had stayed the arrest warrant, pending the voluntary submission of the former official, who has been accused of abuse of authority and fraud against the government.
The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor stated that “the accused has not appeared today, so the arrest warrants are in place and remain in force”.
According to the charges submitted by the Public Prosecutor, Mejia and Rixi Moncada, a former manager of the National Electricity Company (ENEE), and the former Finance Minister, Rebeca Patricia Santos, were accused of the crimes of having signed a rental contract for the new building of the ENEE in an amount of 16 million annual lempiras.
According to the prosecution, this procedure violated the rules of the Revenues and Expenditures of the Republic for the fiscal year of 2008 and the State Contracting Law. The authorities had approved only seven million lempiras annually for the lease of a building to house the ENEE.
According to the report of the Supreme Audit Court (TSC), prior to this contract, the ENEE paid rent in the amount of 3.5 million Lempiras per year for eight rented buildings.

Why don’t you go to Uncle Hugo or grandpa Fidel,Raul and Lulabye…no nobody will haunt you down there beacause all of you have the same feathers that flocks together.
