General Romeo Vasquez “is going into retirement and returning to civilian life,” President Lobo told reporters.
He announced that General Carlos Antonio Cuellar would be taking over Vasquez’ position as head of the Honduran Armed Forces. General Cuellar, who until now was the armed forces inspector general, will be choosing his new joint chiefs of staff.
