The officers on the new board of Commanders of the Armed Forces of Honduras names were released today.
Deputy Chief of the Armed Forces is Jose Gerardo Fuentes Gonzales, Inspector General of the Armed Forces of Honduras will be headed by Luis Javier Prince Suazo, Admiral John Pablo Rodriguez will lead the Navy, and Carlos Alberto Espinoza Urquia will serve as Commander of the Army. The Honduras Air Force will be led by Colonel Marco Castillo Duron.
The head of the Joint Chiefs said that the rotations are normal within the institution, to create new opportunities for young officers. General Jose Gerardo Fuentes Gonzales replaced an officer of equal rank, Venancio Cervantes Suazo. General Fuentes worked as director of the University of Defense of Honduras and is now second in command within the hierarchical structure of the military.
The third in command is Luis Javier Prince Suazo, who was ratified at the meeting of commanders because he was the Commander of the Air Force of Honduras.
The Board consists of officers who have commanded several generations, several graduates of the Military Academy, and other distinguished military leaders in Honduras.
