Electricite de France SA has terminated its involvement with an emissions-cutting project in Honduras after an environmental lobby alleged that the facility’s owner committed human rights abuses.

EDF Trading, the London-based unit responsible for sourcing emissions credits, stopped its involvement with the Aguan biogas project in Central America, the company said today in an e- mailed statement. The project, linked to palm oil production, is seeking registration to earn credits under the United Nation’s Clean Development Mechanism.

CDM Watch said in February the Aguan project was owned by Exportadora del Atlantico, a unit of Grupo Dinant. The company acquired the land illegally and was responsible for killings of more than 20 people in the past year at the site, the Brussels- based lobby said in a report. Exportadora del Atlantico didn’t immediately answer two calls and an e-mail.

There we again, a Leftist Minister of Agriculture (hired by President LObo) incites a hostile land grab, (something that was in fashion when said minister was a Commie in University) this being land that was already developed for production, which of course means millions of dollars invested in it to get it to that point. Then, after being asked to remove themselves from private property, and after refusing to do so, there was an armed confrontation; I thought that in many parts of the world, if you refuse to remove yourself and leave ‘Private Property’ after being asked to do so, you better be ready to face the consequences, which may indeed include forceful removal, even the posibility of death.
Once again the ‘Human Rights Organization’ has lost is compass, for it is failing to protest for the abuses comitted against the land owner, and of course, who could forget (except for the Human Rights Org.) to protest for the rights of the people that may benefit from having a job by working that land.
The Human Rights Organization has allowed for itself to be manipulated by the Leftists of the World, and they allow for much damage to be done to whole comuinties in the process of protecting the criminals and the terrorists of the world; It is about time somebody asks that Organization what is the formula they use to determine who is human and who is not.
In the incident mentioned above, I do not hear anybody from that group protesting to defend the rights of the families of the people that can not work in that land.
