Central Americans Observe Happiness

The large presence of voters at the polls is an example that Honduras has a very strong democracy, according to Mexican election observer, James Dominguez. The visitor noted that the elections have passed tranquilly, with a large number of happy voters.

“We wanted to see the behavior of the electorate public, and what we see now is a huge participation, a process that meets international quality standards,” he added. “So far we see an exemplary election. In Honduras there is a strong democracy, there is an autonomous body that is the Supreme Electoral Tribunal which works properly. Everything has gone peacefully and positively,” he said.

Raul Gavarrete, a Guatemalan observer, urged his government to recognize the transparent elections in which the Hondurans are participating.
