Extreme Weather Continues in Honduras

The National Meteorological Service (Servicio Meteorológico Nacional – SMN) reported that tropical depression number nine, which is southwest of the coast of Guatemala, will generate showers this afternoon and evening in the southern, central, east and west areas of Honduras.

SMN spokesman, Oscar Zelaya, said he did not rule out the possibility that this depression number nine may become a tropical storm.

The Permanent Contingency Commission (COPECO) maintains a yellow alert for the Central District, and a yellow and green alert for the Municipalities of Francisco Morazan.
