Honduran Artist Begins U.S. Tour

Karla Lara, the famous Honduran singer and activist, is announcing her first United States tour. Ms. Lara will be performing at Amnesty International’s Human Rights Art Festival on April 24th in Silver Spring, Maryland, where she will be singing “Songs of the Resistance.”

For over twenty years, Kara Lara has used music to raise awareness of various social movements. Ms. Lara was instrumental in starting the first ever Central American Feminist Band, and actively supports Artists in Resistance.

Karla Lara has two albums, “Donde Andar” and “Antes del Puente.” Her songs have been described as a powerful blend of Latin rhythms, powerful lyrics and deeply soulful singing.
