Honduras reviews progress of Photo-Voltaic projects

Honduran government officials visited two photovoltaic (PV) projects of combined 124 MW in the last days to check the progress of works shortly before completion.

The Nacaome and Pavana PV parks are scheduled to go into operation in the southern Valle and Choluteca departments.

Pavana is a 24-MW plant developed by Honduran firm Energia Basica SA (Enerbasa) with modules from Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:YGE), while Nacaome consists of two neighbouring sites that will generate a total 100 MW.

Honduras’ power utility Empresa Nacional de Energia Electrica (ENEE) expects the completion of seven PV projects totaling 250 MW in the first half of 2015.
