Between $2.7m and $3m will be required for every MW installed. In other words, Honduras’ PV plans will need between $1.6bn and $1.8bn.

According to findings by a solar loan calculator app, the solar farms are expected to be finished within 18 months, with the first expected to be operational in the first six months of 2015.

The cost per kWh will vary between $0.15 and $0.16.
