Honduras

Honduras heads Group B in the Copa de Oro (Gold Cup), with two of their three matches garnering wins in the tournament’s opening. Honduras vs Haiti was encouraging, with a 2-0, and in Honduras vs El Salvador, they scored 1-0.  Honduras lost the final matchup against Trinidad and Tobago 2-0. Honduras vs Costa Rica in the quarterfinals earned the Honduran BiColor a 1-0 advantage.

In the past four matches, Honduras has scored each goal through a different teammate: Marvin Chavez, Jorge Claros, Rony Martinez, and Andy Najar.

USA

The USA has been playing well, winning their four straight Gold Cup competitions in a row. They’ve scored nine straight wins if you count all their matches since the loss (4-2) to Belgium in the May friendly game, so they are due for a fall ;).

Gold Cup Semifinal

The Gold Cup semifinal will be broadcast at 5pm Honduras time (7pm ET) today, Wednesday July 24, 2013, on FOX Soccer (U.S. – English), Univision Deportes (U.S. – Spanish), Sportsnet World (Canada), ESPN (U.K.).  Also,  the Copa de Oro will be streaming live online at Fox Soccer 2Go.

The winner of tonight’s game will  advance to the finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Soldier Field in Chicago.
