Honduran Agricultural School Promotes Safe Beekeeping Practices

BeeThe Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural School trained last week 17 producers, processors and Honduran technicians in good beekeeping practices to improve product safety.

Participants were trained by Carolina Valladares, professor and head of the Honey Processing Plant and Derivatives, in procedures to produce goods safely. This ensures that the 2013 harvest will improve both Quality and Competitiveness of the Agricultural Food Production in Honduras.

Participants learned new alternatives in food for bees that have been identified in research by experts and students at El Zamorano.

A beekeeper from Cortes, said the training reinforced and updated their knowledge on the national and international safety laws and regulations.
