Hurricane Rina Heads North of Honduras

Monday morning brought sunshine and light breezes to the northern areas of Honduras. A pleasant change from the clouds and intermittent rains experienced over the weekend. Hurricane Rina is heading north apparently, lessening chances for a significant impact on Honduras. The hurricane, however, it is expected to turn into a “Major” hurricane (meaning winds of over 110 mph) by Tuesday evening.

This could mean the northern areas of Honduras (particularly the Bay Islands of Utila, Roatan, and Guanaja) may experience some fallout from this phenomena. Current Rina Path Visual – click here.
