Roberto Ramírez Aldana confirmed that DNA tests, morphological and radiological reports, and also the expertise of forensic dentistry all played a part in the identification process.

Ramirez explained that it, “has been hours and days that we have been following and working under the technical direction of a dedicated team of prosecutors.”  The lawyer confirmed that the discovery was made through the collaboration of a protected witness who participated directly in the events, and that the prosecution maintains custody of the accused.

At least eight people are involved in the murder of the kidnapped journalist. Four people are in custody, and others are fugitives. The prosecution issued orders of capture for Héctor Noé Baquedano Galindo, Ever Anatael Mendoza Contreras, and Dennis Omar Ramírez Martínez, for the crimes of kidnapping, aggravated robbery and conspiracy.

Through the phone number 9679-4514, the fiscal team obtained valuable information on the Barrow case.

Near the area where his body was found was a passbook in the name of Aníbal Barrow, as well as the clothes he wore the last time he was seen alive, blue denim trousers and a white shirt.

Before the most recent discovery (yesterday), authorities have located the remains of several others killed, with similar attributes, causing uncertainty each time, as to whether or not the remains would be identified as those belonging to Anibal Barrow.
