They have not been seen since Thursday. On Sunday evening Police chief Jose Coello reported that four individuals have been detained in connection with their ongoing investigation into the disappearance of the two sisters. Those detained include the owner of the party venue and Sofia Trinidad’s boyfriend.
They both disappeared after attending a birthday party in Santa Barbara, located in western Honduras.
The Honduras National Police was not informed that the sisters were missing until Saturday.
Maria Jose Alvarado was scheduled to represent Honduras in the Miss World 2014 contest in London.
