A small plane was discovered abandoned on the island of Utila, Honduras (one of the Bay Islands), Wednesday afternoon, according to police authorities.
The light aircraft, a Cessna 206, was found without landing gear and in poor condition.
Commissioner Mondragón, head of research in the area, confirmed that the aircraft was found empty on the runway.
A group from the drug trafficking investigations unit (DLCN), on the mainland of Honduras was dispatched to the field for futher investigation.
