This is the newest creation produced by the Starting Value of Touristic Products Project. Syntia Solomon, Vice Minister of Tourism was in charge of this important event that provides a new document that regulates one of the most important touristic attractions of the Bay Islands, scuba diving.

Juan Manuel Galvez, Subdirector of Product Planning and Development presented the new regulations where the work of various government offices and NGOs has produced a document that covers all the aspects of the diving industries in the Bay Islands.

These regulations cover subjects like good practices that divers, snorkelers, dive shop owners and personnel must follow in order to make the experience the best possible; local and regional laws and regulations; updated statistics on the diving industry; as well as general information on the dive centers; and other information of great value for tourists and locals alike.

Assistants requested the Honduran Institute of Tourism continue these efforts with the hotels, restaurants, and all other tourism related businesses.
