According to the report by Oscar Ardon, coordinator of the National Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DNIC) in La Ceiba, Atlántida, director Magda Elsy Hernández Munguía, was the victim of a shooting by two strangers who were driving a motorcycle.

She was taken to the central hospital where she was immediately interned.

“DNIC authorities are in the area to make preliminary investigations. It is believed that the incident occurred at the entrance to the premises of CURLA in La Ceiba,” Ardón explained.

Officials of the National Police began to “close the city” hoping to find those responsible, and authorities of the UNAH facilities have already filed a report with the Public Prosecutors.
