The La Ceiba Mayor hopes to make use of a 10 year long Sister Cities agreement to boost tourism for Honduras, exchange knowledge, business, and access more crime fighting equipment and vehicles. His liaison, Lucas Barrios believes Monday’s meeting was productive in meeting some of those goals.

“We’re looking for radios, bullet proof vests, there’s a possibility that we might buy at a very special price, squad cars that are going to be auctioned. That will definitely be a great impact to the efficiency of our police department in Honduras,” Barrios said.
