Honduras is close to reaching an agreement to play Ghana in an international friendly on March 3, 2010 in South Africa.
The match is expected to open the newly-built Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, which has a 46,000 seat capacity, and will be the same venue for Honduras’ Group H opener against Chile on June 16, 2010.
Coach Reinaldo Rueda says next month’s friendly will help the players acclimatize to conditions before the World Cup tournament kick-starts. He plans to field a strong squad that will be led by striker David Suazo, Wilson Palacios, Maynor Figueroa, and Hendry Thomas.

The Spurs said, “They have taken him to hospital and he is in a lot of pain. He is a tough lad so it can’t be very good for him to be struggling like he is. Hopefully he will be okay.”
