Teachers union leaders called on teachers to join a demonstration to be held on Thursday, February 25th. On that date, the teachers have been requested not to attend their classes to teach.

I’d say that hopefully students will learn that in order for change to occur, people will organize to create that change from within. The educational system in Honduras is just about as corrupt as anything else- teachers don’t make too much money, often having second and third jobs, etc. If you’ve ever been a teacher, you would understand. There has been a lot of flip-flopping as far as who is behind the strikes this year. From the perspective of a teacher living in Honduras, I would say that teachers ARE doing something good for the country and demanding more from a corrupt government. Once the dust settles and teachers have a greater sense of self worth, that will be passed on to the students, and hopefully those kids will grow up to learn that corruption needs to end here.
…by the way, your grammar and spelling are atrocious.

since the time that i visited honduras, all i heard were ” TEACHER’S STRIKE ” . What do you think the students will learn with these kind of teachers doing these things. Let me tell you…idots, you are not helping the future of your country ..because this kids will learn nothing from your stupid strikes!!!!! So, i hope who ever is the president of that teacher’s union
will be dismissed. Why don’t you do something good for your country at least by stopping your
    idiotic patterned strikes….SAYONARA
