Third Cold Front for Honduras

The passage of a third cold front accompanied by a mass of air, followed by high pressure system, will leave cool winds in the north coast, abundant clouds, light to moderate precipitation on the Caribbean Coast and accumulated rains of up to 50 millimeters during three days.

For this reason, COPECO has declared green alert for the Bay Islands, Atlantida, Colon, north of Cortes and Yoro in the last 48 hours.

According to reports from the National Meteorological Service (SMN), the cold front will enter the country over the Gulf of Honduras and will move throughout the Caribbean, generating cool winds from the north east, producing moderate rains and scattered showers over the north east of Honduras.

Tegucigalpa and its surroundings will be cloudy with scattered rains during day and night, light haze, with temperatures between 5 and 26 degrees, and winds of 35 kilometers per hour.

The south of Honduras will remain partially cloudy with light haze and winds coming in from the north and northeast.

The Caribbean coast will experiment rain, light haze and winds of 25 kilometers per hour and temperatures of 20 to 26 degrees.
