Tigo Honduras obtains syndicated loan for 250 million US Dollars

Mobile operator Tigo Honduras has obtained a syndicated loan for a total of USD 250 million dollars.

Tigo Honduras Cell Phone company which now has 65.6 percent market share in Honduras plans to launch 4G LTE Service in Q1 of 2015

The telecommunications company will use the loan to finance its investment plan for this year.

The two banks which have structured the loan are The Bank of Nova Scotia and Itau.

Other participating banks include Banco Industrial, DNB Bank ASA, Sweden Branch, Credit Agricole CIB, Citibank and Nordea Bank.

Tigo Honduras is a fully owned subsidiary of Millicom.
