Tigo to Invest $100 Million USD in Honduras

Millicom CEO Mauricio Ramos confirmed a $100 million dollar investment in Honduras, mainly to improve infrastructure.

Tigo’s network covers between 85 and 90 percent of the population with voice, data and 3G, while the 4G network should reach approximately one third of the population by the end of 2016.

This is on the level of investments for the period 2014-2015. According to Ramos; Honduras represents between 10 and 15 percent of the overall gross profits of Millicom.
