Zelaya is Playing Victim Says Micheletti

Roberto Micheletti’s government said yesterday that former President Zelaya is acting like a victim when in fact his role in this crisis has been the executioner “of his own self, due to his erratic behavior.

In a statement of 10 points, Micheletti’s interim government regards the position adopted unilaterally, that Zelaya is ignoring the agreement.

The statement said the government hoped that no member of the Verification Committee take sides with any party, or make comments that might complicate the understandings.

In its statement, the government asked the OAS and the international community members, to remain within the parameters of the deal. Particularly those contained in item #3 on “The general elections and the transfer of Government” and on #7, “The normalization of the relations of the Republic of Honduras with the international community.”

He added that Zelaya is trying to act as a “victim” when in reality he has played the leading role in being the “executioner” of himself, by his erratic behavior. Zelaya obviously only intends to again become president, and that it the only part he is willing to fulfill in regards to the agreement, and he has been committed to force compliance with.
