Amnesty International Targets Honduras

Honduran President Porfirio Lobo received a series of recommendations from Amnesty International yesterday. They made the suggestions, hoping the new government would attempt to repair damages done to human rights since the June 28, 2009 ousting of Manual Zelaya.

Recommendations included rejecting amnesty laws for those responsible for crimes, training judges on international human rights legislation, and setting up an effective witness protection program.

Honduras’ devastating coup d’état has left the country in urgent need of a program of human rights reconstruction, with clear objectives and a time line for completion,” said Kerrie Howard, Americas Deputy Director at Amnesty International.

“If President Lobo wants to restore the rule of law and confidence in his government, he must ensure the abuses of the past seven months are dealt with quickly and effectively.”

why you don’t give your recommendations also to the president of “Nicaragua” when people are starving and mouth are shut for opinions, and eyes are rolling for the physical and ideological abuses of that government….they are one of the good recipients of your recommendations.. not “Honduras”. are you a member of the so called
” Bands of LEFTIST” the way it sounds, you are one of those?

I encourage all of you to email amnesty international to protest their position on Honduras. It is a shame that such noble organization is so mislead by ideology.Write your comments to:

Go to Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, China etc., where you really need to make an impact. How about the crimes of Z’liar and his thugs?
Leave Honduras alone! In spite of your reputation your credibility is marred by asserting that there was a coup in Honduras. Idon’t know who is behind this, but get over it already! Honduras has been wounded. It needs help not condemnation. Honduras, in fact, needs to be praised as one of the few really democratic nations. Just go wherever you came from and leave Honduras alone!

interesting….. Amensty International made one recommendation that I actually agree with….. “they recommendations included rejecting amnesty laws for those responsible for crimes”, but I believe they were thinking of no amnesty for those responsible for the “coup d’tat” (which NEVER happened)…

I agree NO AMNESTY for z’liar and his band of criminals for the crimes they comminted against the Honduran people….. let them pay for their crimes just like any other common street thug!!
