Andy Najar Earns Rookie of the Year

The young Honduran, Andy Najar, closed his debut year in the MLS with a flourish by winning Rookie of the Year 2010.

Despite the fact that his team, DC United, did not have their best season, the star striker of 17 years shone, and became the youngest player to ever receive the award.

The last time a striker won the honor was when striker Clint Dempsey took it in 2004.

Najar was the most influential player in DC United this season, scoring seven goals, and registering two assists in 26 games, becoming known for his speed and maturity on the field. In addition, the young star took home four DC United awards.

This player of great promise will not doubt, be an unstoppable future football star.
