Belizean Fugitive Saved By Local Hondurans

Belizean fugitives Benjamin Peters, Alexander Edwards and Gabriel Salazar, wanted by Belize police for murder and the Spanish Lookout Scotiabank robbery, were shot by Honduran police in Honduras.

Salazar, reports say, is in critical condition recovering, after emergency treatment saved his life. Peters and Edwards were declared dead on arrival at the hospital and were buried in Honduras.

The three entered Honduras through the Agua Caliente border station in Guatemala, where the Honduras Customs found guns in their bags when they searched them. They were taken to the police station around 3:00 am and were told they would be transferred into the custody of the office of the Public Ministry.

While they were being transferred, the police officers who were taking them, stopped the vehicle at a place called El Sitio De La Union in the Copán district and ordered them out.

According to the report, they were made to lie down on the roadside and were summarily executed by a shot to the head. The officers drove away, leaving them for dead, but villagers of the area took them to a local hospital.

Salazar will be held in Honduras to testify in the case against the police officers who shot him and his two friends. If and when Salazar is released to Belize authorities, he will face a number of charges for murder, bank robbery, and armed robbery.

They have the courage to kill “Foreign” criminals like dogs, but the Gang members in Honduras walk on the streets with inpunity, go figure.
