Chile Drops Key Striker

Chile manager Marcelo Bielsa cut Toluca striker Hector Mancilla from his preliminary World Cup squad, leaving just one more player to be dropped before his final roster has to be submitted.

Mancilla won the Mexican Clausura title with Toluca on Sunday, but was trimmed from the Chilean squad one day later by Bielsa. Mancilla has played six times for Chile without scoring.

Chile opens the World Cup on June 16th against Honduras and also plays Spain and Switzerland in Group H.
