Monday morning the Honduran Minister of Natural Resources (Serna), Rigoberto Cuellar, alerted the media that his safety, and that of his family, is at risk due to the charges involving the Office of the Prosecutor to Combat Corruption, Henry Salgado and the Director of Prosecutors for the Public Ministry, Danelia Ferrera.

“If they think that I’m simply going to lie down and play lamb of sacrifice, they are very wrong – if they think that I do not know,” said Minister Cuellar. “The Truth Commission expressly recommended in their report that Henry Salgado should be investigated for his actions.”

Consulted on his continuing in office, Cuellar said that this was not the reason for the conference, and did not answer the question; however, he added, “I have information that I’ll be providing in due time, in accordance with the advancement of the position of the prosecutors and myself. Those who know me, know that I never speak without foundation.”
