A Day Without Crime in Tegucigalpa

Monday, October 31st, is the first time in weeks that there were no reports of violent deaths nor allegations of violent assaults in Tegucigalpa. Other crimes were reduced considerably. The noticeable reduction began Sunday evening.

According the National Investigation Crimes Unit (DNIC); the last two deaths reported were of a 17 year-old in the Villa Nueva neighborhood of Tegucigalpa. That crime occurred in the 3rd phase of the residential area, where the youth was attacked and shot by an unidentified person. The other death reported was of an unidentified male who was hit by a car on the Armed Forces Boulevard.
