In the absence of effective guarantees, the former first lady stated that Mr. Zelaya has no immediate plans to return to Honduras. According to Xiomara Zelaya, “There has been no significant improvement in Honduras’ situation since the coup and many officials from the judicial and interior ministries who were involved in the coup are still working in the same positions.”
