Doctors in Honduras have given the Secretariat of Health 72 hours to pay for long overdue wages to 160 doctors, or they will stop working.
Elmer Mayes, President of the Honduras Medical College (CMH : Colegio Medico de Honduras), said yesterday that the doctors who will participate in the strike are those who work in health centers, regional, and national hospitals.
Wage debts and non-payment to suppliers have plunged this service of the State into a deficit of more than 600 million lempiras.
