Honduran Accused Murderer Found in Belize

Belize immigration stumbles upon a Honduran accused of murder.

A visitor to Belize was picked up by officers when he was unable to present his travel documents upon request. The man was charged with failing to produce a visitor’s permit, and appeared in court yesterday.

That man was Jaime Caballero, who pleaded guilty to the crime and was fined $1,000. Immigration officials, running his identity through Interpol, learned that Caballero was wanted in Honduras for murder.

Caballero (23) has since been turned over to the Belize Crimes Intelligence Unit.
