Hondurans Still Missing

Nine people are missing in the aftermath of Agatha. According to Copeco, the missing people are eight fishermen who were working in the Pacific Ocean and one soldier in a La Mosquitia community in the northeast of the country.

Agatha destroyed 11 bridges, 675 houses, 52 communication lines and affected 27 highway sections.

US ambassador to Honduras Hugo Llorens said the United States government will donate $100,000 to Tegucigalpa to help in the relief efforts from Agatha’s destruction. Honduran Finance Minister William Chong Wong said the Inter American Development Bank will aid Honduras with 200,000 dollars, and The World Food Program will also donate 8,000 metric tons of grain.
