This is the biggest growth in exports to the European Union over the last six months.

In October, exports of pineapple had lost strength, after deposits of some 472,300 dollars. SIC’s report shows that pineapples took third place in exports, with deposits of 1,237,335 dollars, and registered a rise of 106%, by comparison with November, when the turnover was 599,559 dollars. In December, the export volume reached 2,418,856 kilos, representing more than double of the volume registered in November, when it reached 1,170,934.87 kilos.

The main export market for Honduras today is Germany.
