Local governments, small agricultural businesses and communities will receive the aid to create economic opportunities for Honduras’s rural population. Agriculture diversification will be implemented along with promotion for the small farmers in hard-hit areas.

President Porfirio Lobo and U.S. Ambassador to Honduras, Hugo Llorens signed the agreement in La Campa city, Honduras on Friday.
