Meet Honduras’ New Ambassador to the U.N.

Honduras’s ambassador to the Organization of the United Nations (UN), is Mary Elizabeth Flores Flake “Lizzy”. She is the daughter of former President Carlos Roberto Flores (1998-2002). She is a journalist and lawyer, and has
held management positions in the Liberal Party. Lizzy has served as a Member of the National Congress of Honduras, and in the previous Legislature, she served as First Vice President.

Ambassador Flores Flake spoke recently with the Spanish publication, Proceso Digital, and elaborated on what she hopes to achieve in this new position.

Primarily, her wishes are to support all efforts to achieve international recognition and to overcome Honduras’ problems with poverty, human rights, environmental compliance and projects that are commonly desired in Latin America. She is determined to revive cooperation projects that have been frozen; in this she will be very active.

The ambassador plans to represent Honduras as a country of democracy, development, prosperity, dialogue, and with the dignity that is within all the Honduran people.

Ambassador Flores Flake stated that, “We must lead by example as a nation that respects people, their rights, humanity and everything that belongs to the welfare of future generations. It is our responsibility.”

When asked how it feels to replace her childrens’ grandfather in the post of Ambassador to the United Nations, the new ambassador said, “Well, it’s a coincidence that my childrens’ grandfather is the former Ambassador of Honduras to the United Nations. He has a very long career in the international arena and is a person who has been closely tied to my family. In the sense of family and within the Liberal party, we have worked on many campaigns together.” Ambassador Flores Flake hopes that the former ambassador can be an asset to her in opening doors for communication with other nations.

Lizzy Flores also said that Honduras needs to give more opportunities to the new generation. She reminds us to recall that Honduras is a nation with a predominantly young population, and that these young people must be nurtured, strengthened, and attended to. She believes there is much to do for them yet.

Lets hope that this one works out better than the previous one, and that when she says that she hopes her grandfather’s experience does not mean that he will guide her in his desire to bring Honduras to be a Socialist Police State working for the “Castro Brothers & Chavez” and instead, maybe she wants to read about her other Grandfather, the one that always kept true love for Honduras in his heart, Mr. Oscar Flores, whom always spoke the truth and attacked whom ever wanted to harm our Democratic Spirit, she has a big oportunity to show respect for Honduras, really, we just do not need any more leftists trying to hurt our beautiful country.

What she needs to do is contribute to fight against that most evil mindset in Honduras, the spectre of “Corruption” that has permeated every level of society.

God Bless Honduras, and hopefully this idiots stop being blind to the fact that Communism and Socialism do not work as economic solutions, they only manage to turn a free country into a “Big Jail”.
