Micheletti has said he will step down immediately and relinquish his position as President of Honduras if Manuel Zelaya requests and is granted asylum from the Brazilian Embassy. Additionally, Zelaya must abandon his pursuit to be reinstated.

Micheletti announced the unity government was formed at the meeting that was recently concluded. Micheletti’s team cooperated every step of the way. Ministers and Vice Ministers handed in their resignations, and new people were appointed. President Micheletti still welcomed Zelaya to put forth his list of people, with five minutes remaining before the deadline.
