OAS Turns Zelaya Down

The Organization of American States has said it will not convene a special session to review the proposal Micheletti’s side presented for Zelaya’s team yesterday.

The adviser of the Secretary General of the OAS for Honduras, John Biehl, said that the body is confident Honduras can solve the political problem internally, although it is difficult. It is a matter for Hondurans to solve.

Keep him out, not even one minute, look at what just hapenned in Nicaragua, Ortega forced the reelection reform after all.

They have a plan, the only way to stop them from achieving their goal is by keeping them away from the presidency, unless they win it during clean elections.

While John Biehl of the Organization of American States has stated that no meeting of the meeting of the OAS should be called to deal with this at this time, this past Sunday the OAS sent a human rights team into Honduras to investigate supposed huma rights violations since the removal of Zelaya. It is obvious this team will be working to get as many reports as possible of wrongdoings in order to use it as a weapon to rachet up more pressure for the removal of Mr. Micheletti and restoration of Zelaya. They will accept reports at face value and not check their anuthenticiity. An example of what you will see in their report was the material on the videos Faultlines and the other one made by Al-Jazeera that had much about the teacher who’d been detained, etc. Neither video made mention of the police injured in the protests by Zelaya’s followers; or the man who was killed by the Zelaya supporters as they were marching – as he got out of his car upon returning home from a church worship service, or of the businesses that were looted and damaged such as the applicance store, the bank, the Burger King restaurant and many others; of the grafitti put on hundreds of buildings.
I hope that Mr. Micheletti’s government demands that government workers be allowed to accompany the members of this team – not to hinder them from investigating, but to help see that accounts given are investigated for authenticity. Otherwise, the OAS will use this report of human rights violations to cause it members and others to increase their economic sanctions against Honduras – and even try to build a case for military intervention to stop further supposed human rights abuses.

It looks like they might be running out of their dumb ideas, but don’t ever expect them to see the light. They will lie, cheat and steel, that is all they know. Generally their is no coming back from delusion. This work is done by the Holy Spirit and they have stopped listening.

The OAS should have let Hondurans resolve their own problems from the beginning. Now that they realize the trouble they created it is time for them to wash their hands. How cynical!I hope the world takes full responsibility for the damage they have caused to this little, but very democratically determined country.
Zelaya, go home to Caracas or Havana, where you belong!

It is very encouraging to see that the World is finally seeing things in a fair and just way, and even though the OAS is only a small portion of this world, it is also the first organization that attacked Honduras for depossing Zelaya, without even bothering to investigate what had trully hapenned and wether Honduras was at fault of any wrong doing.

It is a very happy momment for Honduras when our true behaviour is coming true.
