Pepe Believes in Amnesty for All

“Pepe” Lobo said he supports political amnesty for all involved in the political crisis that has taken place. He stated that “it is the key point for peace in Honduras.”

Mr. Lobo also said that Micheletti should remove himself from power to help Hondurans cease their suffering and have peace in the nation.

This is starting to look very bad.

Many people made the comment before the elections that some leftist leaders were not all that unhappy that Pepe was looking like the winner to be in order to become the next president of Honduras.

It is understandible that peace is seeked and that calm will be the ultimate goal, but at what price?

Pepe is starting to look as if he does not care about the feelings of the Honduran people any more that Zelaya did.

If he wants to proyect himself as a prasmatic leader maybe he should be more understanding of Micheletti than of Zelaya.

The country does not want Zelaya pardonned, maybe it is high time that the presidents remember that they are elected by the people for the people.

Do not grant Zelaya anything, he called for bloodshed and stole millions of dollars, he should serve time in prison.

Pepe Lobo, Honduras calls to you to forget about your University days in Tegucigalpa, the ones that led you to the Patricio Lumumba in Moscu, and remember that we elected you to punish the Liberals for making the mistake of not stopping Zelaya.

so z’liar is above the law??

how about amnesty to ALL criminals?? if it is given to one, should it not be given to all regardless political position??

so…. let be real…… z’liar needs to be held accountable for his crimes against the Honduran people, tried and if (when) convicted sent to prision like every other criminal.

No one is above the law!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just who would be President after Micheletti removed himself? Does this amnesty apply to political crimes only? What about the stolen money? Zelaya should at least have to return it.
This is a bad idea. Zelaya is never going to shut up. He will be free to roam Honduras stirring up trouble indefinitely if this happens. Luckily it is not up to Lobo, but the legislature and the courts. Zelaya has already said that he should be given back the time he missed. Even after Lobo is sworn in, he will not stop whining about being reinstated.
