Peru’s Former Prime Minister to be spokesman for OAS-backed Anti-Corruption Body in Honduras

Former Prime Minister of Peru Juan Jimenez will be the spokesman for the Organization of American States “OAS” Supported Mission Against Corruption and Impunity in HondurasMACCIH.

Jimenez will be accompanied by Uruguay’s Juan Pablo Corlozzoli, Mexico’s Jacobo Dominguez Gudini and, Germany’ Jan-Michael Simon.

OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro noted that MACCIH is a significant step for the country’s journey towards transparency and justice.

The appointment of Jimenez was welcomed by Peruvian Primer Minister Pedro Cateriano, saying it is represents an honor for Peru.

Jimenez was born in Lima. He graduated as lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru — PUCP and has a Master’s degrees on Constitutional Law and Judicial Policy.

He has served as Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Prime Minister and Ambassador of Peru to the OAS.
