The fire spread to the Hotel San Pedro, the Barret Agency, and consumed a “STOP” store and a restaurant serving Chinese food, according to reports.

Fire units from Choloma, La Lima, and El Progreso sped to San Pedro Sula to help the San Pedro Sula fire department to control the incident.

Police cordoned off the area to protect bystanders who came to watch, and prevent undesirables from using the situation to steal items from businesses.
