Son of Copan Historian Murdered

Attorney Ramon Arturo Bueso Caballero of Santa Rosa de Copan, 40, was killed in the waiting room of his office in the neighborhood of Santa Teresa yesterday.

At 12:00 noon, the lawyer Bueso, accompanied by his employees, was ready to leave the premises when they were surprised by two gunmen, guns in hand, who told them it was an assault.

Two women were thrown to the ground, and asked who was Ramon Bueso? “I am” said the lawyer, at which time his attackers shot him several times. After committing the crime, the offenders left the scene quickly to an unknown destination.

The employees immediately notified authorities, and tried to help their boss, but he died immediately.

15 Nine-millimeter caps were strewn about the office, nine of which entered Bueso in the face, chest and arms.

The police have not determined the motive for the crime, and do not rule out the possibility that it may have been related to any of the cases the attorney was working on.

The Lawyer Arturo Ramon Bueso was the son of Copan Historian, Mario Bueso. He graduated law at the University of Honduras (UNAH), and years later received the title of notary. Bueso was married and leaves behind three young children.
