Suspects Freed in Callejas Case

Yesterday afternoon family and friends of Jose Eduardo Callejas Romero accompanied the coffin to the The Garden of Peace Suyapa where he was buried.

Meanwhile, the Public Ministry approved the DNIC to free Pagua Martinez and the two other suspects arrested yesterday, being unable to verify their participation in the execution. The investigation is ongoing.

The head of the police force, Commissioner Francisco Murillo Lopez, confirmed that the team assigned to investigate the crime met yesterday with the prosecutor handling the case to discuss the progress of work done to date.

    I can only hope that this means habeas corpus, but at the same time this guys wont be able to just disapear into the background.

    When you are talking a planned hit that includes conspirators, the law should require that they stay close to where they could be easily found, not proving participation yet should by no means mean automatic lack of guilt.

    Man, Honduras needs to move so much forward on so meany fronts.
